Day 2 in Paris

I had my cereal, wrote in my journal ^^ and ran to MICEFA. I had left my big suitcase there yesterday. I think the 38 is now my life line… =) I was fresh, clean, and struttin my boots on a cloudy rainy morning in Paris! I was feelin’ good. One thing about my neighborhood it’s a lil sketch. Some streets are very busy others are small, dark, and quiet, its next to two main boulevards with a bit of everything creepers and normal peeps…it’s a great central location, but I’ll definitely have to keep an eye out at <_< >_> night...
I used the internet at the MICEFA and finally headed out with my suitcase. No rush hour this time so it was easy getting on the bus. The bus lady was surprisingly nice! She said bonjour, merci for exact change, aw ma pauvre because I had a huge suitcase. =) it’s ok NP =) I got to my place and commenced the clunking of my suitcase with every step…luckily the gardien was around and heard my struggle. He ran down the stairs and carried it all the way up =) merci beaucoup! =) see people! As many meanies as there are in Paris you find super nice ones too! =) I unloaded my life and made lunch. I headed out to find free wifi with no luck. I know MacDo has free wifi but it’s always so full and smelly and has the sleeziest men hanging around it… So I went to Vincennes to meet the kids that I will be babysitting this year. They were super nice! We had plum tart with their mom and played with some toys. We took a stroll through the neighborhood and made a date for tomorrow. I felt better about being back today. I felt like I could get back into the swing of things =)

TO DO LIST:
Get visa paperwork done! (this should be interesting!)
Open bank account (that’ll be a process)
Once #2 is done I can get internet & pay my electricity bill =)
Visit my school of employment =)

Side note: all of today and yesterday I’ve been hearing from old friends via text msgs. It’s super nice to hear from people that I met here! It gives me hope for a great time in Paris! =) Thanks friends! <3

*** Strut the streets of Paris to the Kings of Leon album and you’ll rock it! I did it today and felt like I could take on the world. LOL =D especially to their songs ‘Crawl’ and ‘Sex On Fire’

Parisian women: they have the most amazing sweaters I’ve ever seen! I want them! So jealous!
